The Fillmore County Developmental Achievement Center (DAC) is a non-profit 501(c) 3 corporation licensed to provide Home and Community Based Services to persons with developmental disabilities and related conditions. These services include Day Training and Habilitation Services (DT&H), Prevocational Services, Supported Employment Services, and Structured Day Services.
Day Training and Habilitation Services
Day Training and Habilitation Services (DT&H) are licensed supports to help adults:
- Develop and maintain life skills
- Participate in community life
- Engage in proactive and satisfying activities of their own choosing
Prevocational Services
Prevocational Services are services designed to prepare persons for paid or unpaid employment, as reflected in the plan of care.
Activities included in this service teach underlying skills necessary for the person to gain greater independence.
Supported Employment Services
Supported Employment Services are services for persons for whom competitive employment at or above the minimum wage is unlikely, and who, because of their disabilities, needs intensive ongoing support to perform in a work setting.
Structured Day Services
This service is designed for persons who may benefit from continued rehabilitation and community integration directed at the development and maintenance of community living skills.
Structured Day program services take place in a non-residential setting separate from the home of the person and must include intensive therapeutic interventions.
We work closely and collaboratively with Fillmore County Community Services, Winona and Olmsted County Community Services, Fillmore County Public Health, school systems, residential providers, and families in identifying persons who would benefit from our services.
